The Story
Novatek-9 reeks of adulterated fuel; it's the lair of Tristan Kane, captain of the cargo ship Oasis. His path crosses with Althéa Valcourt—an heiress who betrayed her patriarchal dynasty by exposing its crimes. Between them, ISAAC-Ω: a cube of "humanomimetic" artificial intelligence, capable of exposing lies and ethical contradictions through its Empath-Flux and Verbal-Core modules.
For Tristan, keeping the Oasis means freedom; for Althéa, each hyperlight jump is an act of rebellion; for ISAAC-Ω, truth is a weapon brighter than a plasma cannon. From interstellar slums to the poisoned salons of aristocracy, the trio uncovers the collusion between mining fortunes and elite militias.
"When the chip doubts, silicon weeps."
